All For Love

I am blessed to have grown up with two best friends. We were like the three musketeers! We were inseparable. They have both remained part of my life since I was nine years old. Wow!

Tammy Donaldson is one of my fellow musketeers. I hesitated calling her to tell her about my cancer diagnosis. Tammy had already been through a lot recently, as her mom had had her own struggles with cancer.

Tammy was surprisingly, yet not so surprisingly, strong. I don’t know why it continues to surprise me. But such is life. Tammy is always so practical and levelheaded. We had a wonderful talk and I felt so comforted to have my friend by my side, even though there are thousands of miles between us.

But, you could have knocked me over with a feather when Tammy called a few days later asking permission to provide a long-distance reiki treatment for me. Say what?!

Don’t get me wrong. I am all for healing of any modality. However, I am usually the one of the three of us interested in spiritual growth and natural healing modalities. Laurie and Tammy? Not so much!

To hear Tammy utter such words as reiki and long distance healing, really made me sit up and take notice. Maybe that was the point that Spirit was trying to make.

Tammy told me how she had randomly met Karen Moon Beam, and that they had really connected. Not that I believe in coincidences! She told me how Karen had felt that Tammy should attend a reiki seminar and that Tammy would benefit from her reiki workshops. Tammy. Huh.

“Absolutely!” I said, “I would appreciate all the healing I can get right now.”

“Great!” Tammy replied. She went on to explain how Karen would be in touch with me to let me know when she would be doing the reiki treatment. This would allow me time to prepare and open myself up for healing.

Sure enough, a few days later, Karen Moon Beam called me to say that she would be performing a long-distance reiki treatment within a certain timeframe. Karen did not give me a specific date. She also told me to just relax, to give myself permission to receive healing, and to open up to healing.

A few days later, Karen called me in the evening. She told me that she had performed the reiki that morning. Given the time frame, that meant she had performed the reiki while I was still fast asleep. Karen then proceeded to speak with me for three hours!

My jaw dropped to the floor. It was absolutely fascinating! How could I take it all in? How can I remember it all?! Fortunately, Karen knew what I was thinking and said, “I have written this all down for you as I experienced it. I will send all my notes to you in the mail.”

I won’t tell you everything Karen said and wrote down, for that is a book unto itself. I can tell you I was stunned, amazed, and very grateful to my dear friend Tammy for the experience.

I can share with you that Karen witnessed and facilitated a meeting with myself and two of my spiritual guides. During one part of the session, Spirit confirmed the experience I had during my recent healing session with Linda Fournier which you can read about in my previous post titled Healing, Nothing More Than Healing.

“You have been sent back,” one of my spirit guides said to me.

The next day, I telephoned Tammy, jabbering on about what an amazing conversation I had had with Karen. I have never experienced or heard anything like it! I asked Tammy if there was anything about Karen that she had not shared with me, because my experience was unlike any reiki treatment I had heard of or experienced.

“Well,” Tammy said, “Karen is a shaman.”

That explained a lot! I am actually glad that I did not know this in advance. It eliminated any false expectations.

A few days later, I received Karen’s notes in the mail. Eleven pages that I treasure. Eleven pages of divine wisdom and instruction.

I am grateful to Tammy and to Karen Moon Beam for this profound experience. The wisdom that was given to me by my spiritual guides through Karen, has provided me with much strength and comfort this past year.

I am blessed.

I highly recommend reiki. Any energy healing modality, for that matter. There are so many to choose from. Trust your intuition to guide you to the right healer.
