So what is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing administered by the laying on of hands. We, as humans, are all made up of energy, or chi, or ki. If your energy is low, you might find it more difficult to handle stress and, as a result, you may become more susceptible to illness.

Reiki was developed in Japan, by Mikao Usui. The word Reiki itself is composed of two Japanese words – Rei, which means God’s wisdom or the Higher Power, and Ki which means life force energy.

Reiki treats the whole person; the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. As a result, there are many benefits to receiving a treatment, not the least of which are feelings of peace and wellbeing.

A person receiving Reiki treatment remains fully clothed. The Reiki practitioner does not provide energy healing. As practitioners, we do not control the Reiki energy. Rather, we become the conduit for the client to draw the energy healing they require from Spirit. Therefore, there is no pain or discomfort, although sometimes you may feel heat, cold, or vibrations from the practitioner’s hands.

Feel free to call me and make an appointment. 250.339.3690. The feedback so far has been very positive.

Thank you to my teacher, Erin Lee, for my Level 1 Reiki.
Thank you to my teacher, Deanna Papineau. for my Level 2 Reiki.

And a special thank you to my dear friend, my soul sister, Tammy Donaldson. Because of you, I received an extraordinary long distance Reiki treatment. It changed my life and placed me on this path.

Much love and hugs. Nina

The Inconvenient Messenger

I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2014. I turned away from conventional medical treatment and chose instead to treat myself successfully with natural, holistic, traditional medicine.

I believe that,
we can let cancer fill us with fear,
we can fight against cancer with all that we have,
or we can embrace cancer for
the inconvenient messenger that it is.
The choice is ours.

I invite you to join me on my cancer journey as I share my experiences and the powerful messages I have received along the way about life and living.
