Say Hello To My Little Friend

Say hello to my new Reiki assistant, Bella! She will be helping me to facilitate long distance Reiki healing.

So how does long distance Reiki healing work?

For Spirit, there are no obstacles like distance or time. Long distance Reiki healing does, however, require additional effort and concentration on the part of the practitioner. The practitioner conducts the Reiki session just like they would any other session, as if the client was there on the massage table.

It can help the practitioner to have some representation of the client during a session, such as a photo, or their name and location written on a piece of paper, or even a pillow. But, when I saw Bella, I knew she would make the perfect assistant!

During a long distance Reiki healing session, Bella will represent the client and I will apply the Reiki healing hand movements on her.

It is important to advise the client of when the long distance Reiki healing sessions are to take place as, in some cases, people can actually feel the practitioner’s hands on them as if they were in the room. That could be pretty unnerving if they are not prepared! An alternative would be to treat the client during the time frame that they would usually be asleep.

If you or a loved one are interested in receiving a Reiki healing session, please call me to make an appointment. 250.339.3690.

A big thank you to Sheilagh, at Hairpins in Courtenay, for telling me about the plush clearance sale on at the Superstore!

Welcome Bella!

The Inconvenient Messenger

I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2014. I turned away from conventional medical treatment and chose instead to treat myself successfully with natural, holistic, traditional medicine.

I believe that,
we can let cancer fill us with fear,
we can fight against cancer with all that we have,
or we can embrace cancer for
the inconvenient messenger that it is.
The choice is ours.

I invite you to join me on my cancer journey as I share my experiences and the powerful messages I have received along the way about life and living.
